Earlier this week, the House of Representatives unanimously passed H.R. 3359, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Act of 2017. The legislation would rename the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

Earlier this month, CompTIA hosted its second Excellence in Cybersecurity Awards breakfast. We created this award to recognize members of Congress and federal agency program managers who have the foresight to use federal resources wisely.

It has been a busy July for education reform. In the most significant re-write in 14 years, the Senate passed an update to the Education and Secondary Education Act (ESEA, also known as “No Child Left Behind”) with bipartisan support.
